AllShield FerroShield is a mineral-based protective coating that bonds directly to untreated or even rusted steel. By forming a durable chemical bond at the molecular level, it creates a long-lasting barrier against corrosion and strong acids. Unlike traditional coatings, FerroShield requires no blasting or heavy surface preparation, making it a faster and more sustainable solution.
The coating is applied in one or more ultra-thin spray layers, with thickness measured in microns and negligible weight compared to the steel itself. Its white finish delivers a clean appearance while preserving the strength and conductivity of the underlying material.
Because FerroShield is heat-conductive, it is not intended for fire protection. Its strength lies in corrosion resistance, chemical durability, and long-term performance even in aggressive environments. By combining ease of application with molecular-level adhesion, FerroShield extends the lifetime of steel structures without altering their mechanical properties.
FerroShield does not simply form a mechanical coating on top of steel; it bonds chemically at the molecular level with the surface. This unique reaction creates a stable mineral layer that prevents rust from developing and progressing. Because the protective film is measured only in microns, the additional weight on the structure is negligible. Despite its minimal thickness, FerroShield delivers strong resistance against both corrosion and aggressive acids, ensuring durability even in harsh environments. The coating can be applied directly to untreated or rusted steel without blasting or heavy preparation, making it both efficient and sustainable. Unlike insulating layers, FerroShield remains heat-conductive, which means it does not provide fire protection but fully preserves the structural and thermal properties of steel.
FerroShield is a two-component mineral coating developed for the preservation of steel. Applied in microns-thin spray layers, it bonds on a molecular level with the steel surface to provide lasting resistance to corrosion and acids. Unlike conventional paints, it does not rely on thickness to protect but on chemical adhesion, ensuring that protection is achieved even on rusted substrates. With its negligible weight, white finish, and sustainable mineral composition, FerroShield offers a new generation of steel protection without the need for blasting.
Testing and certifications are ongoing. FerroShield builds on the AllShield mineral technology platform, validated in multiple independent laboratories for durability, chemical resistance, and long-term performance.
→ A1 Non combustable certification.
→ Caloric bomb test.

Protecting what matters. Fire safety is the goal. Insurability the result. Our projects with AllShield FerroShield show how that promise becomes reality across sectors, applications and environments.
AllShield develops mineral-based coatings and barriers for fire safety, acid resistance and structural durability — with no plastics, no PFAS and a low CO₂ footprint.
Yes. AllShield Blue is A1 certified and FM 4482 approved. BarrierSheet uses the same mineral composition and is undergoing FM testing.
Yes. Proven on over 80% of standard materials including steel, EPS, PIR, PUR, bitumen, PVC, TPO, EPDM (for BarrierSheet), wood and concrete.
Industrial, commercial and critical infrastructure buildings, especially those with flat roofs, PV systems, chemical zones or aging membranes.
Yes. AllShield products are VOC-free, REACH-compliant and developed to reduce the environmental impact of the built environment.
Yes. Both products were specifically tested under PV systems and block fire spread effectively - horizontally and vertically.
Yes. AllShield Blue coating offers UV, mechanical and chemical resistance; BarrierSheet protects membranes and insulation as a cover board below a new roofing membrane.
Both products act as a fire barrier and are not waterproof and cannot be used as a waterproof subsistute for a roofing membrane.
Yes. AllShield Blue is applied directly over existing waterproof membranes. BarrierSheet is installed under new membranes during re-roofing or re-roofing for PV retrofits.
AllShield Blue is FM4482 approved and NEN 7250:2021 (under review) tested and widely accepted. For BarrierSheet, insurers increasingly recognize it as a fire safety solution, supported by field data and lab testing.
