European patent granted for AllShield Blue

We are thrilled to share that the European Patent Office has officially granted a European patent for AllShield Blue, our water-curable, fire-resistant roof coating. This milestone is more than just a certificate, it's independent confirmation that our innovation meets the strictest European criteria for patentability:

#1 Novelty – Our invention was not previously disclosed anywhere in the world.
#2 Inventiveness – The solution is not obvious to professionals in the field.
#3 Industrial applicability – AllShield Blue can be produced and used on a commercial scale.

Protecting innovation: why this patent matters

This patent protects the unique formulation and industrial application of AllShield Blue: a high-performance, mineral-based coating designed to prevent roof fires, especially under high-risk PV installations. Fully non-combustible, PFAS-free and climate-conscious, it sets a new standard in passive fire protection for flat roofs.

The patent, titled Watercurable Nonwoven Sheet Material, was granted to AllShield Holding B.V., headquartered in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, the Netherlands. The certificate was issued on 7 February 2024, signed by the President of the European Patent Office, António Campinos.

This achievement is a major step forward in our mission to make buildings safer and more insurable in a world increasingly shaped by climate and energy transitions.
