Fire Safety and Insurance Compliance

To make the roof insurable for solar energy, insurers required a non-combustible fire barrier that prevents ignition and fire spread across the roof system. AllShield BarrierSheet provides ultra-thin, mineral-based fire protection that meets EN 13501-5 Broof(t1) standards.

This ensures that in case of external ignition or PV-related malfunctions, the fire cannot penetrate the insulation, limiting fuel for combustion and enabling flames to self-extinguish.

Lightweight Advantage – From 35 kg to 9.8 kg per m²

Traditional stone wool solutions would have added ~35 kg/m² to the roof. With AllShield BarrierSheet + PIR, the weight was reduced to just 9.8 kg/m².

This 25 kg/m² weight reduction allowed for:
