Purpose of the role
The managing director will lead Allshield Holding BV into its next growth phase, driving strategic business development and expanding both product and geographical markets. This executive will be instrumental in boosting revenue, profitability and brand positioning while upholding the company’s sustainability ethos and operational excellence.
Reporting line
Reports to the board of advisors and shareholders.
Key responsibilities
Strategic business development
• Define a strategy including licensing options and execute a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with the company’s long-term objectives – exact targets to be agreed
• Identify new market opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to accelerate expansion
• Analyse sales performance, market trends and product data to guide business decisions
• Drive commercial operations to meet or exceed revenue and profit goals
• Report regularly on business performance, financial results and market intelligence
• Ensure cost control and strategic investment to support sustainable growth
Operational & team leadership
• Lead, inspire and empower the team to enhance individual and collective performance, establish a corporate culture
• Recruit, coach and support the sales team, including joint customer visits
• Implement effective sales and pricing strategies in alignment with corporate policy
• Ensure operational compliance with quality, safety, legal and environmental standards
• Oversee strategic planning for marketing & communication, HR, IT and QHSE functions

Experience & qualifications
• 5+ years of senior leadership and commercial experience
• University-level education, ideally with technical/chemistry content
• Ideally a background in the coatings or construction materials industry
• Proven ability to create high-performance cultures with strong interpersonal empathy and integrity
• Solid financial understanding
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in guiding start-up to scale-up growth
• Fluent in Dutch and English
